Seminar for high school career and college counselors

Nazarbayev University has been annually holding the Seminar for High School Career and College Counselors (hereinafter – Seminar) since 2014. The Seminar became an efficient platform for counselors to share ideas and experiences in school counseling. The aim of the Seminar is to address cutting-edge issues in school counseling, discuss the latest trends in this field, and enhance the professional growth of high school career and college counselors.

In 2021 Nazarbayev University held the Seminar jointly with the International Association of School Counseling. The topic of the Seminar was: "Challenges and trends in school counseling in new realities". The Seminar was held on 26-27 September 2021 online via the Zoom platform. On the first day, the Seminar participants attended the Virtual Open House Day of Nazarbayev University while the second day included interesting presentations about core characteristics of the new generation, STEM professions, intellectual rights of teenagers, and specifics of admission to local and foreign universities.
