The Head of State had a meeting with the President of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu. During the meeting, Mr. Katsu informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the current agenda of Nazarbayev University and plans for the upcoming period.

They have discussed the perspectives in the education and research area, the new developments in technologies and innovation. 

According to Shigeo Katsu, the University is ready to continue its contribution in increasing the competitive advantage of higher education in Kazakhstan. The efforts of the University are focused on promoting further modernization of the national economy and social sphere in our country.

The Head of State confirmed his intention to visit Nazarbayev University in the near future. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Shigeo Katsu on his 70th anniversary and expressed gratitude for his high professionalism, many years of fruitful work and contribution to the national education.
