SmarTestPrep will help students to get admitted into the best universities in the world and win scholarships and grants

A team of ambitious and talented individuals launched an innovative startup project called @smartestprep, it received funding in the amount of $50,000 from Quest Ventures. The sponsor and partner of Quest Ventures is Singapore’s largest venture capital company Temasek.

SmarTestPrep is a finalist of the online early stage ABC Incubation X TCA 2.0 startup support program, which is organized by NURIS and is supported by Shell Kazakhstan’s the Shell LiveWire Global Entrepreneurship Development Program.

The SmartTestPrep project is a comprehensive online platform for advising on education and exam preparation that helps talented students from different countries to get into the best universities in the world and win scholarships and grants.

Their students already study in 14 different countries and have received more than $ 6,500,000 in scholarships and grants.

This unique platform uses machine learning and a questionnaire that evaluates the chances of admission.

After the applicant fills out a questionnaire, artificial intelligence evaluates the profile and connects it with data from universities.  The platform then provides an analysis with the percent probability of admission to various universities and what the person needs to do to improve their chances.

The platform offers a range of services, including various admission opportunities, how to select a suitable university / scholarship / program according to specified parameters, what to do to get a scholarship, what documents need to be collected, instructions for passing exams, writing essays and filling out applications, successful examples of essays / applications, etc.

At the same time, the student does not need to visit university websites. Additionally, the platform will have a marketplace where users can buy a mentor’s services, training courses for IELTS, SAT, GRE, and GMAT, as well as other services to improve their profile.

At the moment the project has an MVP – a primitive version of the platform, and the team is planning to elaborate it in the near future. They hope to  win the Demo Day of the KDA acceleration program and receive $500,000 funding.

The team has already received funding by participating in the Kazakhstan Digital Accelerator Acceleration Program, where they passed the 3-stage selection and won.

Currently, the @smartestprep team works in CIS countries, but they are interested in active collaboration with international companies and aim to enter the international market.

Recall that ABC Incubation X TCA 2.0 is a 12-week business incubation program of the NURIS Innovation Cluster, and recruitment for the next application period is expected in June-July of this year.
