Entry examination dates to the NUFYP

Dear NUFYP applicants!

Please see the dates of the entry examinations:

  • Duolingo English Test (DET): January 30, 2021

  • NUFYP Entrance Test: February 28, 2021 

Both exams will be held remotely via online platforms. This decision was made based on the epidemiological situation to avoid the risk of the spread of coronavirus. Your health and wellbeing is the priority for Nazarbayev University in current circumstances.

All the necessary information on the technical requirements of Test Administrators will be posted  on our website soon and additionally sent to applicants before each test. Please think over, arrange your testing zone, check the network connection, and prepare a good working device for the test in advance. In such circumstances, we kindly ask all applicants to realize personal responsibility and to give careful consideration to the technical preparation for taking entry exams. 

Important: to take tests an applicant must have a passport or a national identity card.

Test Administrators will use efficient proctoring services to record and prevent any violations of the Rules or cheating during each entry exam. In case of any violations, applicants will be excluded from the selection process with the cancellation of test results. According to the Admission Regulations, such applicants are prohibited from participation in admission to the NU in the future.

Minimum passing scores of entry examinations are published at the website of the University. 

Applicants who have got the IELTS/TOEFL certificates with minimum entry requirements, must submit them to their Personal account by December 25, 2020. Applicants who have got the DET certificate of 2020 with minimum entry requirements, can send it from the Duolingo account to “Nazarbayev University – Foundation Program” by December 27, 2020. In such a case the applicants will be exempted from the first entry exam.
