A grant from the American Chemical Society has been awarded to NU students

A $3,000 grant from the American Chemical Society has been awarded to NU Chemistry Department students of the School of Sciences and Humanities.

According to Prof. Timur Atabaev, the competition takes place once a year among student organisations affiliated to the American Chemical Society. This year the competition committee has received more than 33 applications worldwide. Our University was represented by the project from NU ACS Student Chapter.

This is the second consecutive year when our NU Chemistry department students win this grant. The students are planning to use this grant to cover the expenses for a summer chemical school at Nazarbayev University for the children from low-income families.
