The ceremony of Teaching Awards 2021 across Nazarbayev University

The 5th ceremony of Teaching Awards across Nazarbayev University was held on the 29th of October 2021. The Award was founded by the initiative of Dr. Loretta O’Donnell in 2017 to mark the achievements of the teaching staff and motivate them for even more accomplishments. Candidates are nominated by NU Schools and judged by the NU Learning and Teaching Committee. This year the winners of the Teaching Award are:

  •         Master Teacher: Ben Tyler (SEDS)
  •         Sharing NU Experience: Antonio Sarria-Santamera (NUSOM)
  •         Innovative Teaching: Tom Vinaimont (GSB)
  •         Inclusive Teaching: Michael Ryan (SSH)
  •         Integrating Research and Teaching – the Sofiya An Award: Dilrabo Jonbekova (GSE)
  •         Leadership in Teaching: Nancy Stitt (NUSOM)
  •         Internationalisation: Byron Crape (NUSOM)
  •         Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for Teaching Excellence: Aliya Assubayeva (GSPP)
