Nazarbayev University held the 3rd NU Alumni Reunion
On October 26, the Third Alumni Reunion of Nazarbayev University was held, which brought together the graduates of 2015-2019. More than 500 people gathered in the walls of their Alma Mater in order to share their achievements and experiences, as well as to plunge into the atmosphere of their university again.
Nazarbayev University is organizing an Alumni Reunion for the third time. Previously, such meetings were held in 2016 and 2017.
On behalf of NU Administration, the Provost Nazarbayev University, Ilesanmi Adesida, Vice-President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation Kadisha Dairova and Director of Career and Advising Center Yevgeniya Kim gave a welcoming speech to the graduates.
In the interactive part of the program (Ice Breaking), graduates of different years participated together in team games and competitions. During the second part (Lead Talks), well-known personalities in Kazakhstan, who positively influence changes in society, spoke to the graduates as invited speakers. In the third part (Pitching for graduates), graduates who have passed the preliminary selection for participation in the contest shared their work/study experience after graduation. The topics of presentations covered a wide range of issues, such as the implementation of business projects and social projects, education, career achievements, life lessons, changing the field of activity, sports achievements, social activities, etc.
In addition, graduates took part in small meetings at the Schools with faculty members (Meet your School). Here they were told about innovations in school life, about new achievements and programs. Graduates shared their memories of student life and talked about their achievements.
The meeting program traditionally ended with a disco (Afterparty).
In total for 2015-2018, Nazarbayev University prepared and graduated 3,584 graduates. Of these, 2386 graduates in undergraduate programs, 1166 in graduate programs, 18 in PhD programs, and 14 in MD programs.
