Important UPDATE as of 10.04.2020: on extended state of emergency and quarantine

Dear NU Community,

Please, be informed the President Tokayev and the State Commission on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection extended the state of emergency in the Republic of Kazakhstan and quarantine regime in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, and some other cities until April 30, 2020.

 

The strict quarantine regime will be kept to minimize risks of further COVID-19 spread. Students at schools and universities will continue to study online, and distant work will continue at Nazarbayev University as well as in other organizations that are not directly involved in life support measures and work to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Please strictly observe the quarantine regime, stay at home and limit your exit only in exceptional circumstances (purchase of food, medicine, or medical assistance with prior contact and clarification of details by phone with a medical organization) with maintaining safety measures.
