The Social Development Fund continues to support health care workers in the fight against a pandemic
The Social Development Fund (SDF) in partnership with the National Volunteer Network continues to implement initiatives to support the frontline healthcare workers in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
To date, NU SDF has brought protective suits and infrared thermometers/thermal imagers to the medical organizations in 7 regions of Kazakhstan (Almaty, Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan, Kostanay oblasts and Nur Sultan city). The Fund has purchased overall 1’700 protective suits and 100 infrared thermometers/thermal imagers which were distributed among medical organizations.
In addition, starting from April 2020, the SDF has been providing assistance to the National Research Center for Maternity and Childhood, the National Center for Child Rehabilitation, and the Republican Diagnostic Center in terms of providing the healthcare staff with protective equipment.
Earlier the Fund also helped volunteer students at Astana Medical University and purchased laptops to the children of medical staff, who didn't have computers at home.
